Fighting assimilation is a constant struggle....All of which means that if I am to be as insurgent as I truly want to be, if I ever hope to use my words, skills, privileges and conflicts to speak for others, then I first have to speak for myself.

Our annual Breaking Down Barriers Conference bcommunitys together students, staff, faculty members, community members, business representatives and others to discuss the numerous barriers experienced by post-secondary students with disabilities.
This year we will be presenting a series of debates that will help to define success for people with disabilities in the community, education and employment settings. We will be explocommunity the question: is success the same for everyone? Statements that will be debated include: post-secondary education is success, employment of any kind is success, self-reliance is success, integration is success.
Debate Questions:
* Is acceptance to post-secondary education success?
* Is any type of employment success?
* Is complete self-reliance success?
* Is total integration success?
