Karens Studio is my blog about my art processes, inspiration, experiments work in progress and finished work, with a little bit of life mixed in.
I'm a fiber artist working with nature and enviromental themes and having a wonderful time. I draw inspiration from my surroundings in beautiful Lancaster County, PA. My current work focuses on captucommunity scenes from everyday life and images of natural objects, using plants from my extensive organic garden and from the fcommunityes of cultivation. I employ cyanotypes, heliographic prints, and image transfers as the basis for works that also incorporate unusual fabrics, hand and machine stitching, and beadwork. My work has been juried into numerous national and international exhibits.
Surface Design A community for people using any and all forms of manipulating, embellishing and altecommunity the appearance of fiber. NOT limited to fabric; the more cutting edge the better.
