Life in the Way Conversations of New Jersey United Methodist pastor.
There is a t-shirt that says "Born in Maine, Living in Exile." I lived in "exile" (actually a very nice place) for 32 years, and returned to Maine in 2005. That's not necessarily what all this is about, just the only title I could think of at the time.
I made a deal with God. When She wouldn't stop calling me to explore priesthood, I said yes--if She would teach me to pray aloud. And so, I'm learning. I am trying, failing, succeeding, stumbling, dancing, singing, crying, hoping, loving, but most of all praying a way--my way-- through discernment. In my heart, and once in awhile, out loud
