OUR LADY OF THE MIRACULOUS MEDAL Shrouded in mystery, it was not until 1876 that it was revealed that a humble Daughter of Charity, known as Sister Catherine Laboure, had been the recepient of a marvelous grace and that it was through her efforts that the Medal of the Immaculate Conception, popularly known as the Miraculous Medal, came to be.
