The ongoing tale of my life in the North Carolina mountains . . . dolls; sewing and crochet; a big garden; lots of goats and chickens; 12 cats . . . and one slightly bemused husband.
I am a dollmaker. I love big noses, whimsy and the grotesque. I am trained as a painter, but my love for the human figure necessitated a new avenue of expression. I have a minor in surface design. So the two came together and I began making dolls.
