HEvencense Tired of that infamous icon, the "Proverbs 31" woman?
Me, too. Which is why I started HEvencense. My blog isn't about what a woman DOES - it's more about who she IS. Her heart revealed.
So come on in. Inhale the sweet fragrance of femininity. Soak up an aroma from Above.
Tired of that infamous icon, the “Proverbs 31″ woman? Weary of plowing thru sites devoted to women’s roles, “helpmate” duties, mothecommunity tips, home economics, or how to “get your whites whiter than white”?
Me, too. Which is why I started HEvencense.
My blog isn’t about what a woman does, but who she IS. It’s about the tender, bold, intricate, amazing and mysterious process of revealing a woman’s HEART thru various devotionals, fiction, musings, and essays, both serious and light-hearted.
Now, before you get out the tar and feathers, let me clarify that there’s nothing wrong with those Proverbs 31, “created to be his helpmate” blogs. It’s just that I’m tired of them, as I am most “women’s ministries.” Why? Because they rarely–if ever–address who women ARE or the sweet fragrance of femininity a la Ephesians 5:1,2:
“Be imitators of God, therefore, as dearly beloved children and live a life of love, just as Christ loved us and gave himself up for us as a fragrant offecommunity and sacrifice to God.”
So come on in. Pour yourself a lemonade. Slow down. Put your feet up. Take a breath. Inhale the sweet fragrance of femininity. Stir in some smiles. Add a twinkle or two and maybe some tissue. Soak up an aroma from Above.
