McFarland Designs
I wear many hats, and this blog is a hodge-podge mixture of each one of them. I am a mother with two smallish munchkins, as well as an Air Force spouse, and run a full-time Etsy shop. I am an advocate for many causes, some of which are saving the environment, vegetarianism(falls into the previous category), Atheism, progressive politics, and of course, promoting handmade! Some days, I feel inclined to rant about religious extremism, or even my children, when they have made my day a little longer than it had to be. Sometimes, I will tell you about an exceptional Etsy shop I happened to stumble upon, or my latest creative process, from thought to fruition. I could not promote vegetarianism and buying handmade with a clear conscience, if I did not also promote buying locally grown food whenever possible. Corporate America has turned the buying process(with food, as well as all other products) into a search for the best deal for your bottom dollar, and the corporation's bottom line. Most people have no idea how their purchases were made or by who(or more often what kind of machine). I think this is a really sad turn of events, and I am doing everything in my tiny little power to change that.
EtsyVeg Blog Community EtsyVeg is an Etsy Street Team for vegan and vegetarian sellers. This blog community links our members' blogs so you can find all the coolest veggie artists in one handy place!
