Kurpil's & Warcholak's from the Ukraine to US Interested in furthecommunity my research on the Kurpil family from Holovetskyi; and the Warcholak family from Hrozowa. Both towns were located in Galacia close to the present day border of Poland, in the Carpathian mountains. {;}
My name is Gunnar Buvik, currently living in Bergen, Norway. My grandmother was Maria Michailovna Rostchakowsky from Nowo Zvjagel estate in Volynien. I hold a very comprehensive family tree going backwards, but am interested to find any relatives still alive in the Ukraine, and learn more about the current state of the estate. Baran Family Genealogy, John Ivan Baran being the first generation of Baran family, Coming from the Ukraine as a 13 year old boy with Uncle Zeno. Uncle Zeno was killed in a mine accident in Scranton, PA. John Ivan Baran was the owner of Riverview Lodge Restrauant in Pond Eddy, NY. He helped start the Ukrainian Workingman's Resort in Glen Spey NY
