Waldorf-Inspired Homeschoolers

RING DESCRIPTION: This web ring was created in May 2007. We hope that as it grows, it can serve as a tool to connect families who have chosen to homeschool using Waldorf-inspired methods, either exclusively or in conjunction with other educational methods (unschooling, Charlotte Mason, etc.,) so that we may support and inspire each other.

Mountain Pulse
Mommy, Massage Therapist, Artist, living in a mountainous hanging valley nestled above another valley in Alaska. I'll be bloging about my family and our experiences- with an emphasis on Waldorf education and how I'm implementing it into our lifestyle. Earlier this year, with a desire to add a little more purposeful structure to the daily life of my 3 year old and I, I began researching basic preschoolish/home school activities. I delved further into Waldorf -a philosophy that has resonated with me for years. It has been fascinating and infinitely rewarding to see this philosophy at work in not only my child's life but in the heart of our home. We are much more attuned to the natural rhythms of everyday life, each other and the miraculous cycles throughout the year that lay the foundations of learning and encourage living more of a back to basics life. Early childhood is such a wondrous and magical time. I’m blessed to be a witness and accomplice in my children's exploration of the world. I believe the world would better a better place if Waldorf was the primary educational paradigm. I'm hoping to "spread the word".

Tree of Life Homeschool
~Welcome! We're Quaker homeschoolers following the Enki approach to education and just beginning our journey. This is a personal scrapbook, a way for us to connect with other Quaker families and Enki homeschoolers, and most importantly, we figured this was the best way to keep doting grandparents and curious friends and relations involved. Our goal is to update weekly with news and pictures, so we hope you will visit us again!~

Tree of Life Musings
~I am really fascinated with holistic educational theory, child development and psychology, and Quaker faith and practice, and how all of that relates to my real life. Where do all those things overlap and complement each other? What parts will I try to live out in our family? Tree of Life Homeschool will remain our family scrapbook, but here will be where I hope to connect with other Quaker families and Enki homeschoolers and explore the theoretical realm.~
