I am a textile artist, and clincial social worker. As an artist I experience great personal satisfaction from using fabric, threads, my sewing machine and assorted embellishments to create images of women that are connected to the earth and their environment. As a psychotherapist, I work primarly with women who have eating disorders. I have the great fortune in both of my professions to help women express themselves in their own unique voices.

Hi, I’m Barb Forrister and I am a fiber artist. I make my own original designs and enjoy dyeing/painting on fabric and texturizing it. My goal is to capture the viewer's attention and interest through both visual and tactile means. I try to accomplish this by adding tulle, organza, organdie, chiffon, cheesecloth, and heat distressed plastics to add texture.
