Sue Reno StudioI'm a fiber artist working with nature and enviromental themes and having a wonderful time. I draw inspiration from my surroundings in beautiful Lancaster County, PA. My current work focuses on captucommunity scenes from everyday life and images of natural objects, using plants from my extensive organic garden and from the fcommunityes of cultivation. I employ cyanotypes, heliographic prints, and image transfers as the basis for works that also incorporate unusual fabrics, hand and machine stitching, and beadwork. My work has been juried into numerous national and international exhibits.

Some Assembly RequiredI have no ‘formal’ art training, but I come by my love of all things fiber and paper naturally. My Mom taught me to make handmade paper as a kid, and I watched all of her weaving projects, rugs, sewing, and everything else she dabbled in with wide-eyed enthusiasm. Any mom who willingly encourages you to melt crayons is a good one in my book.
