I wanted to build a site, a place for parents and carers of children,who started their lives earlier than expected.I am Mum to a 24 week 5 day gestation premature baby, Born in 1999. The consequences of my son's early birth, will be with him throughout his life.

A Preemie's Journey
This web-site is about the emotional journey of parenting a premature baby, infant, and child, it is about our experiences from pregnancy to the present time. Shown in words, photographs and home-movie It is not written by a Dr, but by a Mum, and as such, is my perception of what was happening for us at the time, how we found the "world of prematurity". We have met some amazing & dedicated people over the last 5 years, but at times our experience has not always been positive. Our Premature Journey has been a long and rocky road at 6 years of age Michael still has numerous issues left over from his prematurity. These have led us into another world, a world of special needs
