Winnie the Pooh & Strawberry Shortcake: Still Making Our Imaginations Run Wild

As you were growing up, chances are you have seen Winnie the Pooh & Strawberry Shortcake. Come on, who hasn’t seen Winnie the Pooh & Strawberry Shortcake at least once in their life? We all love Winnie the Pooh and we just can’t resist Strawberry Shortcake.

We all know about the lovely, cuddly bear and we cannot get enough of him. This bear is light brown and just makes you want to cuddle up with him. He lives in the heart of 100 Acre Woods and has Piglet, Rabbit, Tiger, Roo and Eeyore as his friends. His human friend is named Christopher Robin. He not only lives in the heart of 100 Acre Woods, but he also lives in the heart of many different children throughout the world along with adults as well. Think…what is your favorite bear? No, we’re not talking about the teddy bear that is in your room…we are talking about a Disney Character that has been around since 1961. Ah, he’s an old bear, but he is still young at heart and has gained the attention of many different youngsters.

The Winnie the Pooh franchise is all based on a book that is written by A.A. Milne. During 1977, Disney came out with ‘The Many Adventures of Winnie the Pooh,” as they introduced a new character to the show called Gopher, which Disney made this aware by having Gopher say “I’m not in the book, as you know!”

This one is for all the little girls out there who enjoy dolls – Strawberry Shortcake! This is a licensed character that first started out on greeting cards that was owned by American Greetings. The eventually expanded into posters, dolls and other products. Some of the Strawberry Shortcake properties also include a toy line for Strawberry Shortcake’s pets and friends. Strawberry Shortcake has a cat that is called Custard – the original design was done during the year 1977 by Muriel Fahrion as she was an illustrator that worked for American Greetings’.

The Line of characters for Strawberry Shortcake had their own dessert or fruity-themed name and the cute thing is, they wore clothing that matched this theme. Apart from having the fruit or desert name, they also have a pet that patched this theme. They were also all had hair that was scented so that they would match this name. All of these characters lived in a magical land that was called Strawberryland.

While Winnie the Pooh is in the 100 Acre Woods, Strawberry Shortcake resides in Strawberryland. Do you ever think Strawberry Shortcake is going to visit 100 Acre Woods and get with Winnie the Pooh and friends? Now, that would be something to see, Winnie the Pooh and Friends with Strawberry Shortcake and her friends!
