laughing pastor
A Presbyterian Pastor shares stories of the daily journey of working in the church and living life. Not all moments are worthy of a laugh, however, laughter is the only evidence I need for God's grace.

Notes From Off-Center
A personal journal of religion, culture, and education. It is a place not only on the margins of what is often considered theologically normative, but always more or less off-center from orthodoxy.

Burning Bush
Another Evangelical Perspective in the PC(USA)

Presbyterians Blogging
Where Blogging is Decent and in Order

Reverend Mike's House of Homiletic Hash
A blog dedicated to the Barthian proposition that sermons should be written with the Bible in one hand and a newspaper in the other!

He Awakens My Ear to Listen as Those Who are Taught
Listening for God a mid happiness and despair in the living of these days.

She Rev Writes
An anonymous (for now at least) blog about pastoring, mothering, and anything else that comes up. There are often my initial sermon ideas, occasionally finished sermons, and usually the Friday Five from RevGalBlogPals. Sprinkled here and there are joys and struggles with pastoral ministry (hence the anonymity at least for now). Not a whole lot of Presbyterian "politics", but I do think on and read a lot of that!

A Reformed Catholic in the PCUSA
The title says it all. Now an Elder in the Presbyterian Church USA. Married, two cats.

time loves a hero
These are the sermons of a PC(USA) minister in rural Arkansas.

an expanding partner in missio dei
I want to talk about mission! not that I don't spend lots of other time in social critique and, yknow, theological geekdom... i am looking for mission discussions.

Junction Barkers
Our musings on being co-pastors in the Texas hill country.

Transforming Seminarian
Reflections on the Christian life and Transformers toys.

Called to Be: The Pastor's Wife & The Pastor

RevDave's Raves
Rants, raves, faves - and other stuff I want to pass along.

the one where jay ban blogs
a new blog of a relatively new presbyterian associate pastor in north carolina.

Mr. Locke's Classroom
Former High School Teacher :: Current Presbyterian Seminarian :: Future Monastic Microbrewer

Bruce Reyes-Chow
Despite the painful reality that I am not as cool or hip as I want to be or think I am, I have put together a few ego::blogs filled with links, musings and other outlets for my manic/overactive need to mentally, technologically, politically, culturally, emotionally and theologically spew. I hope you find SOMETHING helpful for the journey.

Dressed for Dancing
a pilgrim exploring the intersections of faith and life

The Abecedarian Disciple
Occasionally, I have been referred to as an "expert" in various topics (such as Christian theology, biblical studies, and faith development). But I'm not sure I can claim such a title. As I see it, no one ever reaches full mastery of discipleship, or comprehends the full scope of religious matters. Speaking from personal experience, although I have been a Christian all my life, the longer I walk this mortal plane, the more dimension I discover to faith. . . especially my own. And the more I discover, the more I realize I don't know. As such, I have begun to describe myself as a "novice" Christian, or as an "abecedarian disciple." The word "abecedarian" is defined by "Webster's Revised Unabridged Dictionary" in this manner: "Pertaining to, or formed by, the letters of the alphabet; alphabetic; hence, rudimentary." But "abecedarian" also describes a person who is a novice learning the rudiments of some subject. This is how I view myself, as a novice learning the rudiments of faithfulness. Another, lesser known, definition of "abecedarian" is a psalm, hymn or other composition in which distinct portions or verses commence with successive letters of the alphabet. Psalm 119 in Hebrew is a good example. To play with this additional definition, I like to believe that my novitiate Christianity is more than a series of lessons for me. Perhaps one day I can look back on my life and see the rudimentary discoveries have come together as a hymn of praise to God.

He Awakens My Ear to Listen
Lisening for the still small voice.
