Always ReformingThe ongoing jounral/blog of a new pastor trying to better understand how God wants him to serve and who he is called to be, what he can do to be a better person/husband/pastor, and how to have some laughs along the way (in that order). Adventures in Divinity SchoolI maintain this blog as a place to work out my ideas about God, faith, Christianity, the Church, ethics, politics, peace, violence, sexuality, and anything else that comes to mind as I go through graduate school and beyond to ministry.
Work-in-ProgressA Presbyterian minister who admires turtles, maybe because I spent 4 years writing my first unpublished novel, then spent another 4 years writing the next one. Now I'm on to non-fiction on the subject of pilgrimage. It's hard to find time for writing, there’s so much else to do --daughters to raise, sermons to write, a husband to love, laundry to wash, woods to walk through, and did I already mention sermons?
Toddled DredgeContemplative mom with crackers.
Rebirth InternationalThe musings and meditations of a minister and musician living in the projects of New Orleans trying to make a difference in Pockets of Poverty world-wide.
Not Exactly as PreachedI preach from full text. But when I get into the pulpit on Sunday, the Holy Spirit tells me I'd better clarify this, expand on that, cut that other, display more of Christ's compassion here, be more forceful there. And to the best of my fallen human ability, I do it. Afterwards, I don't have the time/am not ambitious enough to reconstruct what actually came out of my mouth. So here you have the working drafts. May the Lord bless them to your edification and use.
