Since 1995 I’ve worked in the book publishing industry in sales & marketing. Thanks to Wiley’s leading position in the computer book publishing world, I’ve immersed myself in some groundbreaking technologies. Every day I help sell and promote bestselling brands like For Dummies, Visual, Betty Crocker, MTV, Pillsbury, Webster’s New World, Cliffs Notes, and Extreme Tech. And, I’m fortunate to have partnered with some of the biggest retailers in the world. So that’s what I do. It’s not just because I have to though. Mom brought an Apple computer into our home in 1980, so technology has always been around. And some of my other interests - music, sports, gadgets, friends - have taken on new lives thanks to technology over the years. Searching, Searching, Searching
Well, it started out more as a quest. Just to find the things I like to blog about. Over the summer it has morphed into a blog about Air Shows and the Air Races in Reno, where I grew up. I have no idea what I'll blog about ducommunity the winter, but I'm sure we'll find plenty here in Indy to talk about, probably the Pacers and Colts, and other happenings. I'll hit the occasional tech stuff also (since I work in IT), but there seems to be so many tech bloggers, I'm not sure I'd have much else contribute there. Who knows? He was a journalist – a sportswriter and columnist for The Indianapolis Star – for more than 30 years, and continues to write a weekly column for The Indianapolis Business Journal. He’s grown up with the city, watched it change and evolve from the ordinary to the extraordinary. He has a sense for what Indy was, what it is and hopefully, what it will be. So Bill has tucked his trusty reporter’s notebook into his back pocket. He’ll write about what he sees, what he experiences, what he feels, what he thinks.
