Richard Kidder Meade
Colonel Richard Kidder Meade was General Washington\'s aide-de-camp during the entire Revolutionary War. Along with Alexander Hamilton, Meade supervised the execution of the spy, Major Andre, who, along with General Benedict Arnold conspired to give West Point to the British, effectively ending the Revolutionary War on the British side. In his lifetime Colonel Meade went from British subject to American citizen.

This is the autobiography of David Meade II of Nansemond County, Virginia, and Jessamine County, Kentucky. He begins life as a British subject in Virginia and describes his life as he becomes an American Citizen. Meade was personally acquainted with many of our Founding Fathers and this book, printed in 1883, edited by Henry Peet, which is not copyrighted, is full of his interesting and unique observations of them. It\'s an interesting and extremely rare and unique look at our country and its Founders.
