Advent Recovery Ministries, Inc.
Advent Recovery Ministry is the recovery ARM of the local church. We operate The ARC of Alva, a halfway house in Alva, Florida, and work with area churches and organizations to help reduce the terrible cost to society brought on by substance abuse. About 90% of those in jails and prisons today are there directly or indirectly because of addiction. If they do not receive help, about 78% of those released will re-offend. We want to help stop this revolving door cycle and teach the men how to be an asset to society, not a drain on the system. A tax-payer, not a tax burden.
