RING DESCRIPTION: Some, when confronted with stories about the failures of the Neo-Pagan community, have said things like "these were not very bright or very well-educated people, so what did you expect". But is that all there is to it? Here, we're going to tell part of the story of a group which seemed to have everything going for it, and ended up in a place no less absurd, despite all of the advantages it enjoyed. Making the case that there is no substitute for traditional values.

Meeting the Pharoah: A Review of the House of Netjer
An article describing some of the experiences I had, mostly online, after Tamara Siuda, the "nisut" of the House of Netjer (an alleged Egyptian Reconstructionist group) invited the author to take part in the discussions on the House's (supposedly scholarly) boards. Freedom of throught and the level of respect shown to reason as it is at the House - the reality, not the hype.
