Major companies like Pepsi tapped her to be the face of their advertisement programs and Spears became a corporation in her own right. Her highly publicized and seemingly perfect relationship with fellow pop star, Justin Timberlake, ended after four years and was marred by Timberlake’s revelation of details that seemed to compromise Spear’s teen friendly reputation. While Timberlake’s career would take off following his breakup to Britney Spears, Spears started to act in an erratic fashion. There was her quicky Las Vegas marriage to her childhood friend, Jason Alexander, which lasted fifty-five hours. While Spears quickly acknowledged the mistake of her first marriage, it seemed that Spears had marriage on her mind. She would meet a backup dancer who was renowned at the time for his strangely magnetic presence. Within a few minutes, Britney Spears and Kevin Federline would marry on September 18, 2004. The marriage provoked shock and surprise from the public who were not the least bit impressed by the Britney Spears and Kevin Federline pimp and hos wedding theme. Although many people decried the marriage for drastically hurting Spear’s public image and her career, the couple remained married for two years and produced two children. However, the wild and frenetic energy that engulfed the couple and was captured in their reality TV show, Britney and Kevin: Chaotic, would eventually overwhelm the marriage. People thought that the marriage was going awry as Federline decided to make the baffling decision of trying to establish a rap career despite his shoddy credentials while Britney Spears was busy giving birth to their children. Freshly single, Britney Spears decided to check out the thriving Hollywood party scene. She made public appearances with notorious party girl and new convict, Paris Hilton. Paris Hilton and Britney Spears were a pairing that many people didn’t see coming but their friendship wouldn’t last for very long. After photos surfaced of a drunk Spears passed out without wearing underwear on a number of occasion, Britney Spears made the sensible decision of ending her association with Paris Hilton. Still many people wondered how Spears would return to her music career that depended on her relatively clean public image when there were numerous pictures of britney spears no underwear to be found for free on the Internet. Reports have speculated that Britney Spears is continuing to drink alcohol and engage in occasional drug use. Additionally, Spears seems to be continuing on her path of questionable romantic decisions as she has been linked to musician Howard Beck who she met at rehab as well as her drug counselor.
