A Panic anxiety attack is the inevitable relation of panic attacks and anxiety disorders. It is a very quick and unexpected discrete period of extreme anxiety. The panic attacks are actually a symptom of an anxiety disorder. The panic attacks provide a very serious health problem to adults and teenagers alike. The attacks can begin when you are in your early teens and continue through to adulthood. What triggers a panic anxiety attack? Is there a cure? Is there a way round the problem? Panic attacks are not only a symptom of anxiety disorder but are also a type of the particular disorder. Of all the types there is, this is the most sudden type where it can catch you at any time when you least expect it, so you can never be ready for a panic anxiety attack. People that are diagnosed with this type of condition often experience fear and a sense of going crazy or in other individuals, they may experience a heart attack, feeling faint, losing control of themselves and feeling nauseated among other things.

The primary and most common cause of a panic anxiety attack includes heredity. When you have a history of these attacks in your family, then the probability of suffering from the same condition are high. However, this does not eliminate the fact that you may suffer from the attacks if there is no family member of yours that has suffered from them. Other causes include side effects from medications, such as Ritalin, exposure to a phobic object, inadequate diet, panic provoking situations and a condition known as obsessive-compulsive disorder may lead to a panic anxiety attack.

Symptoms associated with a panic anxiety attack that have not been mentioned earlier include a chocking feeling, the fear of dying, derealization, chest pain, sweating, paresthesias,  trembling and hot flashes. This type of attack is as sudden as pointed out before, that it will not take more than 10 minutes to climax. This takes place for a period and then everything goes back to normal. However, it is a discomforting experience.

A panic anxiety attack can be treated through abdominal breathing whereby you breathe slowly through the nose and not the mouth, using the abdomen. This action will inhibit an imbalance of oxygen to carbon dioxide in your blood stream.
Another way of treating this condition is through training your mind to exclude and eliminate ‘what if’ thoughts from your mind. You need to look at ‘what is’ and what you are going to do. This is because such little thoughts that begin at the back of your mind in your bedroom may create a panic anxiety attack. The only other way to beat it is to go back where it came from and eliminate it that is from the mind.
