Trish Stratus - Wrestling Diva

Trish Stratus is following in the footsteps of such Candian wrestling luminaries Owen Hart, Jim "The Anvil" Neidhart, Brett "the Hitman" Hart, "Whipper" Billy Watson, and Dino "The World's Stongest Man" Bravo (although he was a despised Quebec separatist by character).  However, trish stratus has blazed a trail withe World Wrestling Entertainment (WWE; formerly the WWF - World Wrestling Federation)  that has elevated herself to her current status as arguably the most recognized female wrestler.  Only Brett "The Hitman" Hart can rival Trish Stratus in popularity as a the greatest wrestler to have orginated from Canada.

Born on December 18th, 1975 in the City of Richmond Hill, which is part of the Greater Toronto Metropolitan Area, Trish Stratus envisioned herself becoming a doctor at a young age.  Her high academic acheivement was positioning herself firmly on this path as she enrolled in Toronto's York University for Human Biology and Kinesiolgoy.  It was during her last year in her program that her path was seriourly rerouted after a long teacher's strike.  It was during that year that she was 'discovered' as a receptionist at a local gym by Chief Executive Officer of MuscleMag, Robert Kennedy, who was blown away by her chiselled physique and captivating sex appeal.  She was the typical blonde bombshell, except that she could probably kick your ass making her the perfect face for the muscke magazine.

From there, MuscleMag signed her to modelling contract, as she raised her profile by appearing not only in MuscleMag, but also other fitness magazines including Total Woman's Fitness and Flare.  Trish Stratus became headed towards the realm of wrestling when she appeared as guests on radio shows talking about fitness and sports.  The Canadian Show, Live Audio Wrestling, endeared herself to wrestling fans as she impressed many people with her extensive knowledge and perspective on professional wrestling.  She obviously was a longtime fan, as she would rave on about the exploits of her favorite wrestlers, Randy "Machoman" Savage and George "The Animal" Steele, Kamala the Ugandan Headhunting Giant, and of course, Hulk Hogan.

Her sexy appeal, physical prowess, and considerable knowledge on wrestling initiated the WWE, World Championship Wrestling (WCW), and Extreme Championship Wrestling (ECW) to take considerable interest in her.  In the end, Trish Stratus had always been a fan of the WWE, so she chose to sign a multi-year contract with that illustrious organization.  It turned out to be a wise move as the WWE exploded in popularity engulfing the now defunct WCW and ECW to monopolize the entire professional wrestling world.
