Greeting Cards

Christmas is pretty much the season where everybody buys a little bit more of everything…but when it comes it greeting cards, this is the season where everyone buys a lot more of something. Whether because of obligation, or devotion…or both, people send out greeting cards this time of year like they were sacred.  If you are reading this site, that probably means that you are one of those people, and you are looking for some advice, or something as how to make this whole process as enjoyable as possible.

I don’t know what to say really, this whole thing has been going on for some time now and there isn’t really much advice I can offer up. I guess, I’ll do what I can.

I know personally I really like those greeting cards that have a picture of the entire family in full holiday garb.  There is just something so wholesome and fun about them.  Christmas is about family and having the two combined on a card is great.  The only real problem with these cards is that they are almost impossible to throw away.  Seriously, how can you toss a picture of your loved ones in the trash a couple days after new years?

There is also the relatively new online greeting card for the holidays. This is a bad idea across the board.  Due to technology you can do your entire greeting card salvo in one shot…and people know that.  You might as well just save your time and give them a call or something.  But then again, you don’t really want to get into a protracted conversation with everyone…so that’s out.  But again, why are you sending cards to people you don’t even want to talk to.

That may be a little crass, but really, you should call them.  People are nice, and they often deserve more of a Christmas wish then getting something in their spam mail from your account.
