Although some people are more interested in seeing Avril Lavigne nude than hearing what the pop princess has been up to lately, there’s no doubt that Lavigne has been one busy lady.

Lavigne’s edgy tunes continue to garner more attention with each passing year and, whether we admit it or not, all of us have at least one Avril Lavigne lyric that we can’t seem to get out of our heads.

Perhaps her catchy, honest lyrics are one of the reasons why Avril has recently been nominated for a 2004 People’s Choice Award. Lavigne is nominated alongside pop greats like Alicia Keys, Sarah McLachlan, Sheryl Crow and Norah Jones for the coveted title of ”Favorite Female Singer.” With Avril Lavigne Complicated, Avril Lavigne My Happy Ending and Avril Lavigne Nobodys Home this vixen from Napanee, Ontario is a shoo-in for the award.

Along with being nominated alongside some of the best female singers in popular music today, Avril is also teaming up with the world’s most famous sponge in an upcoming project. Lavigne has hit the studio to record a version of the Spongebob Squarepants theme song to be used in the sponge’s upcoming big screen debut: The Spongebob Squarepants Movie, which is sure to be a box-office hit.

Lavigne has also been doing some humanitarian work on the side. Along with U2, Coldplay, Ben Harper, Peter Gabriel and countless others, Lavigne has donated her talents to an album that will benefit Aung San Suu Kyi, the Burmese leader of the National League for Democracy who has campaigned for years against the horrible brutality of Burma’s military regime. Avril’s hit song ”Complicated” will appear on the benefit album, ”For The Lady,” which will be available some time in late October.
